On my office calendar for March were a couple of verses from Psalm 145:8-9. These verses end with the statement that ‘The Lord…has compassion for all he has made’. This is something we should never forget. God is not an angry judge waiting to punish the wicked, but a loving father who has poured out his grace and mercy on his undeserving creatures. Judgement is no God’s first act, but his last. It comes when everything else has been exhausted. It was because ‘God so loves the world that he gave his only son…’ In this act, God did everything necessary to make salvation available to everyone. It is only those who reject that salvation who will ultimately come under judgement.
This Easter, be filled with the knowledge that God loves you and has poured out his love in the person of Jesus.
God bless
