April is the time when Spring gets going. Spring actually starts at the equinox in March, but April signals a change in the season. That is why T.S. Eliot described it as ‘the cruelest month.’ Why? Because flowers have to break through the hard winter soil. That is what the word ‘spring’ refers to. The flowers that have been dormant, seemingly dead, are resurrected and display new life. How appropriate is it then that Easter falls in Springtime. We celebrate the
moment that he who was dead sprang back into life and conquered death once and for all. In his resurrection is our rebirth. As he was raised, so we are
raised to resurrection life. May that life blossom and bloom within each one of us as we continue on our journey.
God bless. Richard
