CHILDREN’S WORK
Whilst the Church is a place for people of all ages the teaching section of the main service does not really cater for small children.
Our Sunday morning children’s ministry is divided into 4 groups:
NewGen
A group for the younger end of our youth group, school years 10-16.
Kingdom Kids
Available for those aged 4 to 9 years old. Each week a different Bible story is taken and explained to the children with an appropriate activity. The group is working systematically through the whole Bible and it is aimed that children will cover all the major Bible stories twice during their time in this group.
Little Fishes
A crèche for babies and children under 4. It also includes teaching of Bible stories, craft and fun activities used to encourage the very young to learn spiritual truths at a level they can understand.
BCC YOUTH – CREW
Our youth group is tailored for 13-19 years old. Children of this age face a lot of peer pressure and our desire is not for them to ignore it but to equip them with the tools they need in order for them to overcome the challenges they face in society. We also want to see the youth energized so that they can begin to realise the gifting that God has given them and make an impact in their generation. The Youth Ministry of BCC is led by Amanda Bashford.

CHOSEN WOMEN
In Beverley Community Church we feel that it is paramount that women find their place in God’s house and play a part in what goes on. We are here to help all women to become better wives, mothers, sisters and daughters. It is important that women know their worth and that they are empowered to do the work that God has sent them to do in His house and as individuals. Chosen Women is a series of activities aimed at encouraging women to find their destiny in God. The group meets from time to time in a variety of venues for both social and spiritual activities. These activities also encourage friendship with other women and growth in their relationship with God. Included within the programme is an annual residential weekend where the women come together for a dynamic time of encounter with God. These normally take place in the beautiful setting of the North York Moors and have never failed to be a time of great blessing for all who attend.
On a weekly basis, the women of the church meet at 10:00 on a Friday morning for coffee, fellowship and Bible study. (See Getting Connected for more information.)
WORSHIP
Worship is an essential part of the Christian Faith and one of the ways in which we love to worship God is through music. The worship team is filled with dedicated members who are passionate about singing praises and worshipping God with the beautiful voices and instruments that God has given them. Being a part of this team requires dedication, commitment and a love for music. The team practices together weekly and meets together from time to time for teaching, envisioning and practical musicianship. If you have a gift for music and a heart to worship and would like to get involved, please speak to one of the Worship leaders.
The worship team is lead by Natalie Clark.
INTERCESSORS
Intercession is about praying on the behalf of others. The prayer team encourages everyone in the church to pray together for issues they may be facing personally and issues that are present in our society. The bible says in Ephesians 6:17-18: “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints…”
Come and join our prayer team, at 6:30 on a Sunday evening. ALL ARE WELCOME!
NATIONAL ACTIVITIES
We believe it is important that we also look beyond our local communities and get involved in church activities on a national and international level. We relate to the GroundLevel network of churches and seek to have a growing influence for good in our nation, affecting society in any way that we can, to be prophetic, to model Word and Spirit, relationship and kingdom. As a church we are actively involved in staging One Event each year.
INTERNATIONAL
We have also started to form a relationship with the Church in India and believe that God has called us to commit to investing in the development of the local church in Hyderabad for His glory and our mutual benefit.
Activities Have Included:
- Bible Teaching
- Worship Conferences
- Youth Ministry
- Outreach Activities
- Children’s Leaders Training
- PA Assistance
We are continuing to develop this ministry as God opens up the opportunities.
